CCD
Target: Mid 2027New Mexico dispensary POS for CCD rules and NMS2S
Written against CCD rules: NMS2S, the state system that replaced BioTrack on 2026-09-04; the 14% adult-use excise, which rises a point each July 1 through 2030; and gross receipts tax at your location code, 5.25% to 9.4375%, because there is no single state base a store pays. A direct NMS2S connection is not built yet.
- Seed-to-sale system
- NMS2S, the state’s own system since September 4, 2026
- Taxes at the register
- At the register, as of September 2026: the 14% cannabis excise on adult-use sales (rising a point each July 1 through 2030), plus gross receipts tax at your location’s rate, up to about 9.4%; medical sales are outside the excise.

New Mexico’s tax rules and purchase limits are written into CannAgent’s compliance engine from the rule text. Where a figure still waits on an answer from the CCD, it is flagged against the rule rather than guessed.
What we have written for New Mexico
New Mexico coverage is written against CCD rules: the bulletins, NMS2S as the state’s mandated track-and-trace for both medical and adult-use since 2026-09-04, the year-over-year excise step-up to 18% by 2030, the gross-receipts-tax variability per municipality, and the microbusiness license-class topology. We keep it current as the CCD moves. A direct NMS2S integration is not built, and we say so before you sign rather than after.
